The sunny Seefeld plateau has twice been the location of the Winter Olympics (1964 + 1976) as well as three nordic world championships and the infrastructure of the village is therefore quite varied, with a rich choice for guests in both summer and winter.
But those who prefer a quieter vacation will find much to appreciate as well - easy strolls in the countryside around the village, bathing areas at the nearby lakes, and convenient bus and train connections in the region. Visitors interested in culture will not want to miss seeing the highlights of Innsbruck.
The Romans knew what they were doing when they built the road that eventually brought tradesmen, pilgrims and finally visitors from around the world to Seefeld.
