TYROLEAN HAY BATH

Relaxation for body & mind

Tyrolean hay bath

How does a hay bath work?

During a hay bath, the guest is wrapped in damp hay. The ethereal substances in the hay work through the respiratory tract and the body is detoxified. The treatment uses the beneficial and healing effects of hay. The advantage of this alpine form of application is that it makes the body sweat naturally. With this procedure, the organism is gently detoxified and purified.

The special thing about this heat treatment is that the body is embedded in freshly steamed hay. The heat that rises as a result has a stimulating effect and thus creates a sweat-inducing effect for the entire organism. As a result, the health-promoting ingredients of the hay are released and can unfold their healing effect.

The hay comes from our fields on the plateau. Every summer we mow the fields and dry the grass, store it in the farmer's barn and finally fill it in sacks. We use the hay not only for the hay bath but also as feed for the llamas.
